PhotoSafe is a photo and video encryption and storage tool. This Policy is formulated in accordance with relevant privacy protection standards, and explains how PhotoSafe processes information related to its services and the rights you have to control your own information. We will clearly inform you of the following core contents through this Policy to help you understand the information processing rules relevant to you:
i. Clarify the types of information involved in the service and the processing methods, so that you understand the logical connection between functions and information; ii. When using some functions, you need to authorize iOS system permissions (such as photo library access, biometric authentication). These permissions are controlled by you independently in the device settings. Refusing authorization will only affect the use of the corresponding function and will not hinder the normal operation of other core functions.
1. Information We Process
When you use PhotoSafe services, to provide you with stable services and optimize your user experience, we only process the “minimum range of information necessary to realize functions”, and all information is processed locally on your device and not stored on the developer’s servers. The details are as follows:
1.1 Information Related to Core Functions
To ensure the normal operation of the App, maintain service stability, and troubleshoot issues, we temporarily process the following information locally on your device (no retention or upload after processing):
- Device model, operating system version, and PhotoSafe version number (used to adapt to the compatibility of functions across different devices);
- Network connection method and status (used to determine support for functions such as Wi-Fi transmission);
- Operation logs and service error logs (only record function usage behaviors, excluding photo and video content, used to locate and resolve issues).
This type of information does not include personal identifiers such as name, phone number, or email address, and only exists temporarily on the device while you are using the App.
1.2 Information Related to Third-Party Services
PhotoSafe integrates compliant third-party services. These services may process relevant information to realize their own functions, and their processing behaviors are governed by independent privacy policies. The developer does not access or store any information processed by third parties:
- Admob (Ad Service): May process device identifiers and system versions to display ads. You can control the scope of its processing by disabling “Ad Tracking” in your device settings. See Admob Official Privacy Policy for details;
- Firebase (Crash Analysis Service): May process crash logs (excluding photo and video content) to troubleshoot App issues. See Firebase Official Privacy Policy for details;
- Cloud Services such as iCloud/Dropbox: To implement backup functions, you independently authorize cloud services to process encrypted photo and video files. The developer does not participate in or store backup data. See the official privacy policy of each cloud service for details.
1.3 Data Interaction for Static Recommendation Lists
PhotoSafe retrieves a “static recommendation list of other apps under the same developer” from the server (containing only app names, icons, and official download links). During this interaction, only the status of “whether the list was loaded successfully” is sent to the server (no personal information is included), and the server does not store this status data.
1.4 Circumstances Permitting Processing Without Authorization
In accordance with relevant privacy protection principles and industry standards, necessary information may be processed without your authorization under the following special circumstances:
- Directly related to public safety or major public interests;
- Directly related to judicial procedures such as criminal investigation, prosecution, trial, and enforcement of judgments;
- Necessary to protect your legitimate rights and interests or those of others (such as life and property), where obtaining personal authorization is impracticable;
- Personal information that you have voluntarily disclosed to the public;
- Information obtained from legally and publicly disclosed sources (such as compliant news reports, government information disclosures);
- Necessary to maintain the safe and stable operation of the App (such as detecting and resolving malfunctions);
- Other circumstances that comply with privacy protection principles and industry norms.
2. Information Storage
- Local Storage as Primary Method: Your photos, videos, and App settings (such as password configurations and album categories) are stored exclusively on your device. The developer does not store such information on any server, thereby avoiding security risks associated with server-based data storage;
- Third-Party Cloud Backup Notes: If you choose to back up data using third-party cloud services (such as iCloud or Dropbox), the relevant files will be stored by the corresponding cloud service provider in accordance with its privacy policy. You can independently control the data (such as viewing, deleting, or exporting backups) through the official channels of the cloud service. The developer does not participate in the storage or management of backup data.
3. Your Rights to Control Information
Since your photos, videos, and permission authorizations are all controlled by the iOS system or the App locally, the developer does not access or store your personal information. You can independently manage relevant rights through the following methods:
- Permission Control: Enable or disable permissions (such as photo library, camera, and biometric access) at any time in “Settings > PhotoSafe” on your device. Disabling permissions will only render the corresponding function unavailable and will not affect other functions;
- Data Management: Directly delete photos and videos stored locally within the App, or clear all local App data via “Settings > Data Management” (deleted data cannot be recovered);
- Third-Party Service Control: Disable “Ad Tracking” in your device settings (to control information processing by Admob), or unlink your account on the official platform of the cloud service (to terminate data processing for cloud backups);
- Right to Know and Object: If you have questions about the logic of information processing, you may contact us through the methods provided in Chapter 9 of this Policy. We will assist you in understanding the rules governing the relationship between functions and information.
4. Information Security
We adopt industry-standard security measures to protect your local information:
- App login passwords are encrypted and stored via iOS Keychain. Biometric information (Touch ID/Face ID) is verified exclusively by the iOS system, and the developer does not access raw biometric data;
- The App’s access to local device files is restricted to only read and write files relevant to its functions, and does not access other unrelated data.
It is important to note that the information security of third-party services (such as Admob and cloud services) is the sole responsibility of the respective service providers. For details on relevant protection measures, please refer to their official privacy policies (Admob Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy; Firebase Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy; iCloud Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/en-ww/; Dropbox Privacy Policy: https://www.dropbox.com/privacy).
5. Information Usage
5.1 Usage Scope by the Developer
The following basic information is only used locally on your device and will not be transmitted or shared with any third party:
- Device model and system version: Used to adapt the compatibility of functions such as photo preview and video playback;
- Operation logs and error logs: Used to locate and fix in-App issues (such as photo import failures and album sorting errors);
- Function usage records: Used to optimize interface layout (such as placing frequently used functions in more prominent positions).
5.2 Usage Scope by Third Parties
Information processed by Admob is used solely for ad delivery; information processed by Firebase is used solely for error analysis; and information processed by cloud services is used solely for backup and restoration. The relevant usage rules are formulated independently by third parties, and the developer does not participate in the information usage process of third parties.
6. Disclosure to Third Parties
The developer does not store any of your personal information, so there is no scenario of “disclosing information to third parties”. If information disclosure becomes necessary due to future business adjustments, we will fully notify you in advance via in-App pop-ups, emails, etc., obtain your explicit consent, and require relevant parties to comply with privacy protection rules.
Only when compelled by legal requirements (such as an investigation document legally issued by a judicial authority) and necessary information is involved, will we assist in providing the “minimum scope of information required to meet the request”. However, since the developer does not store user information, such scenarios are practically non-existent.
7. Revisions to This Policy
We may revise this Policy in response to updates to privacy protection standards or adjustments to business functions. After revision, when you log in to the App or update its version, a pop-up window will display the revised content and key changes. The revised Policy will only take effect for you after you click “Agree”. If you do not agree to the revised content, you may stop using PhotoSafe services, and we will no longer process new information.
8. Protection of Minors’ Information
We attach great importance to the protection of minors’ information. If you are a minor under the age of 18, you must use this service under the supervision of your parents or legal guardians. If a guardian has questions about the information processing during a minor’s use of the service, they may contact us through the methods below, and we will assist in explaining the relevant rules.
9. Contact Us
If you need to consult about information control rules or provide feedback on function issues, please send an email to awfsksk@gmail.com. We will respond and assist in resolving your inquiry within 5 business days.
